JNU PhD admission 2023 under JRF category begins at junee.jnu.ac.in; apply by August 4

NEW DELHI: The Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) has started the JNU PhD admission 2023 process today. Candidates who have been awarded the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) will be eligible to apply for the JNU admission 2023 for PhD programme under JRF category from July 5 to August 4 at junee.jnu.ac.in.
“Online applications are invited for Ph.D. programme (Academic Session 2023-24) under the JRF category. Candidates can apply online from 5th July, 2023 to 4th August, 2023 (upto 11:50 PM) by registering on the website https://jnuee.jnu.ac.in,” the university said.
The JNU application form for PhD programme through entrance examination 2023-24 will be announced separately, it said.
Only those candidates who have qualified for Junior Research Fellowship of CSIR, UGC National Eligibility Test (NET), ICMR, AYUSH, DBT examinations are eligible to apply under the JRF category. Such candidates will be exempted from appearing in the JNUEE 2023 for PhD admission.
Applicants will be shortlisted based on the application submitted and called directly for viva-voce. They must note that the selection will be done on the basis of 100% viva score.

How to apply for JNU PhD admission under JRF
Applicants can follow the steps given below to fill the JNU application form.
- Visit the JNU admission official website, junee.jnu.ac.in 2023.
- Click on the apply for PhD programme on the right hand side.
- Now, click on the new registration.
- Enter valid email address and generate password.
- Login again using the credentials generated.
- Fill the online application with personal and qualification details.
- Now enter professional details.
- Upload scanned images of photograph and signature.
- The image should be in jpg/jpeg format only. Size of the photo must be between 10 kb to 200 kb.
- Size of the signature image must be between 4 kb to 30 kb.
- Pay fee through online payment mode.
- Review the application form and submit.
