JNU to hold students’ union elections on March 22
JNUSU Elections 2024: The poll results will be declared on March 24, as per the schedule announced by the election committee.

NEW DELHI : The Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) will hold students’ union elections 2023-24 on March 22. The university’s election committee has announced the schedule for JNUSU elections 2024. As per the schedule, the list of tentative voters will be displayed today, March 11. The JNUSU poll results will be announced on March 24. The JNU students’ union elections were last held in 2019.
According to the JNUSU election schedule, candidates will be able to file nominations from March 14. The final list of candidates for JNUSU polls 2023 will be displayed on March 16. A University Governing Body Meeting (UGBM) will be held on March 20, followed by the presidential debate, the notice added. Once the student votes are in, counting of votes will begin from March 20.

The election committee directed to make any new additions or changes to the voters list, for proper identification of proposer, seconder, and candidates, in advance before filing the nomination.

The election committee recently issued a partial code of conduct outlining the rules for campaigning in the upcoming JNUSU elections. As per the rules, the use of posters or pamphlets without prior permission from the committee is prohibited during campaigning for the elections.
