JNV Class 9 Lateral Entry Test 2024 admit card out at cbseitms.nic.in; exam pattern, guidelines

NEW DELHI: The Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti has hosted the link of JNV Class 9 Lateral Entry Exam 2024 on the official website, cbseitms.nic.in. The NVS will conduct the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Class 9 Lateral Entry Exam 2024 on February 10.

The JNV Class 9 Lateral Entry Test will have 100 questions of one mark each. Candidates will have to attend all the questions in two-and-a-half hours. However, in respect of candidates with special needs (Divyang), additional time of 50 minutes will be provided. The question paper will have four sections – Hindi (15 marks), English (15 marks), science (35 marks), maths (35 marks).

As per NVS’ notification, only blue or black ball point pen can be used to write on the OMR sheet, provided for answering. Candidates should bring their own ball point pens. Use of pencil is strictly prohibited, it added.

Important documents required

The NVS said provisional selection in the test will not vest any right upon candidate to secure admission into Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya till the candidate produces all the relevant certificates such as birth certificate, pass certificate and mark sheet of Class 8, SC/ST/OBC certificate, if any, as prescribed by samiti for the admission.

The NVS will not communicate the marks obtained in the test and there is no provision for re-checking and re-totaling. Candidates will be considered for the admission only in that Vidyalaya for which he/she has appeared for selection test.

Candidates applying for admission under rural category will have to produce a certificate issued by competent authority of district administration to the effect that the school where candidate has studied Class 8 is located in rural area.

JNV Class 9 Exam 2023: Step to download admit card

Students can follow these steps to download the JNV Class 9 Lateral Entry Exam 2023 admit card:

  • Visit the official website, cbseitms.nic.in
  • On the homepage, click on the ‘Class IX download admit card’ link
  • Login using your registration number and password
  • The Class 9 admit card will be displayed on the screen
  • Download it and take out a printout.
