NEW DELHI, JUNE 13: Joint Seat Allocation Authority is expected to commence the counselling registration for all qualified candidates from June 19 in online mode. As per the JEE Advanced 2019 brochure, JoSAA registrations 2019 will commence from June 19, 2019. All candidates who are eligible for counselling must register online to be considered for the admission process. The list of available courses and institutes will be available as per the eligibility of the applicants. Students must note that through JoSAA 2019 counselling, candidates will be eligible for admissions only in NITs, IIITs and GFTIs while JEE Advanced candidates will be able to apply for all institutes including IITs. Candidates who fail to register for JoSAA counselling 2019 will not be allowed to participate in the counselling process.

Steps to register and participate in JoSAA counselling 2019

  • Registration: The very first step to participate in JoSAA 2019 counselling is registration. Candidates are required to login into their account using their JEE Main 2019 roll number and password. Candidates will then be able to review their details captured from JEE Main database.

  • Selecting and locking choices: The next step of JoSAA counselling 2019 is selecting and locking choices. Candidates are required to select their preference of insitute and course and confirm their choices once done.

  • Declaration of seat allotment and rank list: Authorities will allot seats to candidates as per their rank, preferences, category and availability of seats. The result of JoSAA counselling and seat allotment will be declared in online mode.

  • Download of allotment letter and fee payment: Candidates who will be alloted seats will be required to download their JoSAA 2019 counselling provisional allotment letter. Students who have been allotted seat will also have to pay seat acceptance fee. Candidates will have to download the e-challan and pay Rs. 35,000 (General candidates) or Rs. 15,000 (SC/ST/Gen-PwD/OBC-NCL-PwD/SC-PwD or ST-PwD) . Payment can also be done through SBI Net Banking.

  • Reporting at centres: In the next step candidates who have been allotted seat will have to report at the respective centres for document verification. Candidates will have to carry all the documents in original as well as photocopies.

  • Confirmation of admission: After getting all the documents verified, students will have to report at the allotted institute for the confirmation of their admission. Candidates are also required to pay the remaining fee at the allotted institute.

There will be total seven rounds of JoSAA counselling for admissions. The list of available courses and institutes will be listed out according to their eligibility.
