New Delhi, June 16 : The Joint Seat Allocation Allocation Authority has started the JoSAA 2019 registration process. Candidates who have qualified the JEE Mains or JEE Advanced 2019 can register for admission in IITs, NITs, IIITs and GFTIs. The registration for JoSAA 2019 has to be done in online mode only. The choice filling and locking have to be done at the time of registration. Students need to have their application number, password and score card of JEE Mains and Advanced 2019 along with them at the time of registration. The last date for JoSAA 2019 registration is June 25 and the first round of seat allocation will be released on June 27.

JoSAA is the centralised counselling for allocation of seats to JEE Main and JEE Advanced qualified candidates. The JoSAA 2019 will be conducted in 7 rounds with two additional mock allotments before choice filling closes on June 25. Candidates must register within the stipulated time to participate in the counselling as registrations are open only once at the start of the process. This year 7 new institutes have joined the JoSAA counselling process out of which 2 are IIITs and 5 are GFTIs raising the total participating institutes to 107. The total number of seats in institutes have also increased after the implementation of EWS quota.

Steps to register for JoSAA 2019

Step 1 Get Register: For registration, candidates will have to log-in to their account using their JEE Main 2019 roll number and password. For candidates who have registered for JEE Advanced, then such candidates will have to use their JEE Advanced password to log-in. After log-in, candidates will see all their basic details like, gender, nationality, state code of eligibility contact information etc. Candidates will have to check and reconfirm the details. Apart from contact information, no other personal data can be modified during registration.

Step 2 Filling of Choices: Once the registration is done, candidates will have fill their choices of branches and colleges in order of their preference. As per the candidate’s qualifications, the available choices for admission will be listed. Once entered the choices, candidates will be available to arrange their choices in order of their preference by selecting “Arrange Filled Choices”.

Step 3 Locking of Choices: Once candidates will be done with choice filling, they will have to lock their choices and take a print out of the selected options for the future reference.

Step 4 Seat Allotment: The authority will allocate seats as per the choice filled and all the policies of seat allocation. Candidates will have to login to their candidates portal to view the result of seat allocation.
