KEA releases KCET provisional seat allotment result for round 1; here's how to check allotted college and course.

The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has announced the UGCET 2026 first round provisional seat allotment results for admissions to engineering, architecture, farm science, BPharm and other professional undergraduate courses. Those who participated in the first round of KCET counselling can now check their provisional allotment status by logging in using their CET number and date of birth. Authority has prepared provisional allotment on the basis of candidates' ranks, category, reservation criteria, and preferences entered during option filling, and seat availability. With provisional allotment list out, candidates have an opportunity to verify the college and course allotted, reservation category and quota (if applicable) before the final seat allotment. If candidates identify any discrepancies or wish to understand changes in allotment compared to the mock allotment, they can contact KEA.

KCET Counselling began with option entry, followed by publication of the mock seat allotment. Candidates were allowed to modify, rearrange, add or delete their preferences before the option entry window closed.
A note on official website reads, "Specific Objections (Checked the Cutoff, Options entered but not allotted any seat) if any, may be mailed to keauthority-ka@nic.in before 5.00 PM on 14-07-2026."
This is the UGCET 2026 first round provisional seat allotment result, candidate should not report to the provisionally allotted college.
Seat allotment to Sports reserved category will be done in the second round of seat allotment based on the revised sports eligibility list.
Soon after declaration of final seat allotment, candidates allotted seats will have to exercise the options specified by KEA, such as accepting the allotted seat, choosing an upgrade in subsequent rounds, or surrendering the seat, depending on the counselling guidelines. Those who accept the allotted seat will have to pay the prescribed admission fee, download the admission order, and report to the allotted college with necessary documents for verification.
