Karunya University: The collaboration aims to augment research activities in areas like AI, machine learning, data structure, IoT, and more.

NEW DELHI: Karunya University and 18 American universities are planning to collaborate to establish joint academic and research programmes and work together in the areas of faculty and student exchange, and transfer of technology. A delegation of 28 experts from the US universities visited Karunya University yesterday to discuss the agreements to further strengthen the Indo-US ties.
The university is also planning to establish an Indo-American forum dedicated to joint academic and research programmes. It already has been equipped with an AERONET facility for air quality monitoring in collaboration with NASA.
The agreement is expected to promote research activities of Karunya University in the Industry 5.0 ecosystem, dealing with technologies and tools such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), Data Structure (DS), Internet of Things (IoT), cyber security, cloud computing, quantum computing, 3D printing, and hydrogen fuel cells.

The delegation comprised representatives from universities like SUNY Buffalo, University of Texas San Antonio, St Mary’s University Texas, City University of Seattle, Clarkson University, Park University, Bryant University, Arizona State University, University of Wisconsin Stout, Penn College of Technology, University of Arkansas, Catholic University of America, Kennesaw State University, George Washington University, Marymount University, University of Utah, University of San Diego, Saint Louis University.
"The purpose of this visit is to establish academic and research collaborations," G Prince Arulraj, vice chancellor of Karunya University said. "We are exploring partnerships in faculty and student exchange, joint academic and research programmes, and transfer of technology,” he added.
