Try NowNEW DELHI: The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has revised the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET 2024) exam dates due to clash with National Defence Academy (NDA) exams. The KCET 2024 exams have been postponed to April 18 and 19.
The KCET 2024 registration process will begin from January 10 and will conclude on February 10. Interested applicants will be able to submit the application form on the official website, kea.kar.nic.in. Earlier, the exam was scheduled to be held on April 20 and 21. However, after the NDA exam dates were announced, the dates have been postponed.
“In view of the NDA exams scheduled on 21-04-2024, KCET exams will be conducted on 18-04-2024 and 19-04-2024 Kannada Language Test on April 20th,” the KEA said.
After considering the representation of lakhs of students, the examination authority informed candidates that “this year online application is designed in such a way that there will be no physical verification and it will be application-cum-verification module”.
“The student entries pertaining to school study, Kannada medium, caste, income etc will be verified through SATS / Revenue department web service,” it said.
Further, the KEA said that the move was taken to avoid the long process of document verification. “Candidates are informed to register now itself for medical, dental, Ayurveda, Unani, Homoeopathy, BPT, BSc Allied Health Sciences, BPO courses also.”
KEA has developed “KEA Mobile App” for students, which will host the application link, latest updates. Moreover, each science college will have a college trainer to guide and clarify their doubts regarding filling of online applications at their respective colleges.
