NEW DELHI: Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has extended the undergraduate Common Entrance Test (UGCET) and UG NEET first round option entry deadline to 3 pm today. Candidates who have registered for admission into engineering, medicine, dental, AYUSH courses will have to submit their choices of courses and colleges before the deadline through the official website, cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/kea/.
The KEA has instructed candidates to enter the KCET, UGNEET options in the order of priority. Further, it also advised students to select colleges and courses based on their preference, and upon considering availability of seats and fee structure.
“UGCET candidates who have already entered the options engineering, agriculture etc courses have to add the medical or dental options by selecting the medical or dental tab in the same portal,” it said.
For example, if any UGCET candidate has submitted engineering and agriculture options and wishes to add a medical course as first preference, then they will have to start with priority number 1 for medical options. “System will automatically assign the next priority numbers to the already entered engineering options,” it said.
The KCET mock allotment results 2024 were declared on August 10. The allotment is indicative and hence, the KEA has also allowed such candidates to enter options before the deadline.
Further, it informed that there are four categories for medical and dental courses, except for government medical colleges - G means government college seats and government quota seats in private colleges, P means seats in private colleges, N means NRI quota seats in private colleges, and Q means others or management quota seats in private colleges.
