The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) will conduct a special stray vacancy round for allotment of undergraduate dental seats under the Karnataka National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) counselling 2025. The decision follows the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) extending the last date for admission to undergraduate medical courses for the 2025 academic year.
According to the notification, the Karnataka NEET UG special stray vacancy round will be conducted for dental seats that remain vacant or where candidates failed to take admission after the regular stray vacancy round. A total of five seats are available under this process, including one seat under the General Merit (GM) category, two seats under the Other (OTH) category, and two seats under the Open (OPN) category.
KEA states that the allotment will be carried out by collecting options online. Eligible candidates who have not been allotted any dental seat in any round and are interested in GM or OTH/OPN quota seats should report in person at KEA, Malleshwaram, Bengaluru, on December 31 between 10 am and 11:30 am.
Candidates should carry all original documents, the verification slip issued by the authority, and a demand draft for the applicable fee drawn in favour of the Executive Director, KEA, Bengaluru.
Candidates will be allowed to enter options only for OTH and OPN quota seats between 12noon and 1 pm. KEA will publish the seat allotment result on the same day at 2 pm based on merit. Candidates allotted seats will have to report to the respective colleges for admission on or before January 1 by 4 pm.
