KCET round 2 choice confirmation 2026 link active; choice entry details

The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has activated the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) round 2 choice confirmation link on the official website of KEA at cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/kea. The authority has also released the final KCET 2026 seat allotment result on August 24, 2026.

To confirm their choice, applicants must login using either of the two methods. They can either scan the QR code on the verification slip or enter their application number and option entry CET number.

As per the official schedule, applicants who select choice 1 or choice 2 can finish their choice selection and fee payment from August 25 to 28, 2026. Choice 1 applicants can also download the confirmation slip during this period. Aspirants who do not wish to accept the allotted seat can select choice 4 to exit the counselling process.

KEA KCET Round 2 Counselling 2026: Steps to confirm choice

To confirm the choices, applicants can follow the steps given below:

• Visit the official website of KEA at cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/kea
• On the homepage, under ‘UGCET / UGNEET 2026 – Admission’ section click on the ‘Option Entry Link (UGCET / UGNEET)’ link
• Enter the details, including CET application number and password / date of birth
• Complete the OTP verification through whatsapp, registered mobile number or email
• View the result or select the preferred choice and then submit
• Download the confirmation slip and take a printout for further verification

The last date for reporting to the allotted colleges is August 28, 2026.

KCET Seat Allotment Result 2026: Choice entry

The authority has announced that only choice 1 and 4 will be available to candidates in round 2. Choice 2 and 3 will not be available after seat allocation. Under choice 1 (accept and freeze), applicants must accept the allotted seat, pay the prescribed fees and report to the college. However, they may be eligible to participate in round 3 counselling, subject to the applicable criteria.

Choice 4 (reject and exit) allows aspirants to reject the allotted seat and exit the KCET counselling process, after which they will not be eligible to participate in further rounds.
