NEW DELHI: The Kerala Engineering Architecture Medical (KEAM) entrance examination will be held as scheduled on 16 July 2020. Exam centres for KEAM are situated in all districts of Kerala and also in Delhi, Mumbai and Dubai. As the covid-19 cases are on rise and students are worried about their safety, Kerala CM has assured that additional precautions are being taken for smooth conduct of the exam. The entrance examination will be conducted in an impeccable manner ensuring the complete safety of the students and allaying the concerns of the parents.

What safety measures have been taken

Special buses will be operational to the examination centres in the morning and evening on the day of exam. Short visit passes are being made to students coming from the other states which can be applied through the Covid Jagratha portal.

In terms of safety and security, state police, fire police and 3000 volunteers have been accorded the duty of safeguarding the examination centres. The fire police will disinfect and sanitise all centres before and after the test and will ensure thermal scanning and sanitization of the candidates.

For students coming from other states or quarantine, separate rooms will be provided to appear in the exam. Candidates from coastal areas of Thiruvananthapuram district can appear for the examinations at St. Anthony's HHS, Valiyathura.

Students in Delhi and NCR region can appear in the exam at JC Bose University of Science and Technology at Faridabad.

Around 1,10,250 students are expected to appear for the KEAM examination outside the State.

Last minutes preparation tips

As the exam is only a day ahead, it is highly recommended not to stress with the exam preparation and keep yourself calm. Given below are some last minute tips for students

  • Do not study anything new on the last day

  • Revise all the important topics and formulas

  • You can practice mock tests or previous year papers to be confident of your preparation

  • Stay motivated and happy

  • Keep all the essential documents like admit card, photo ID ready

Exam day guidelines

At this unprecedented moment, students are advised to follow the safety guidelines printed on their KEAM admit card. The following exam day guidelines will helps students in keeping them away from any potential health risk

  • Report to the exam centre as per the allotted time mentioned in the hall ticket.

  • Avoid crowding at the exam venue before and after the exam.

  • Wear mask and gloves and keep yourself sanitised

  • If coming from the hotspot zone or quarantine, inform the officials about it at the exam venue and keep yourself distant from other candidates
