The Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE) has begun the Kerala NEET PG stray vacancy allotment process for admission to postgraduate medical courses in government and self-financing medical colleges in the state. Candidates included in the Kerala NEET PG merit list can register fresh options through the official website, cee.kerala.gov.in, till February 22, up to 11.59 pm.
The Kerala NEET PG allotment will be conducted to fill currently vacant seats, including those arising from non-joining in the third phase of counselling. The provisional stray vacancy allotment will be declared on February 23, followed by the final allotment on February 24, as per the schedule.
Candidates allotted seats must join the respective colleges between February 25 and February 28 up to 4 pm by submitting required documents and paying the fee. Colleges will submit the final list of admitted candidates to CEE by February 28 by 5 pm.
Kerala CEE has clarified that fresh option registration is mandatory for participating in the stray vacancy round. Candidates who joined seats allotted in the first, second, or third round counselling are not eligible to participate in the final round.
Further, candidates who vacated seats after 5 pm on February 13 will also not be eligible to take part in the state counselling.
Candidates opting only for government medical colleges, including RCC, should pay an amount equal to the annual tuition fee as option registration fee. Those opting for self-financing colleges should pay Rs 1 lakh. SC, ST, and OE and other eligible candidates will have to pay half the prescribed registration amount.
Those who have already paid the registration fee in the third round but did not secure allotment need not pay again; however, they may have to pay only the balance amount, if applicable.
“The registration fee paid will be refunded to the eligible candidates after the end of counselling process. The registration fee of those candidates who do not join the seat allotted will be treated as penalty and will not be refunded,” the CEE, Kerala said.
