KIIT ranks 12th among Indian universities in THE Young University Rankings 2023

NEW DELHI: The Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT deemed-to-be-university) has been ranked 12th among the Indian universities in the Times Higher Education Young University Rankings 2023. The university has earned a spot in the global cohort of 151-200.

The Young University Rankings has set various criteria to evaluate the institutions. These include teaching quality, research output, international outlook, citation impact, and industry income.

“Despite being only 25 years old as an institution and 19 years old as a university, KIIT has now emerged on par with established and long-standing institutes in India, which have been in existence for over 50 years, thanks to the academic accolades it has received,” the institute said in an official statement.

The faculty members, teachers, students, and staff of KIIT and its sister institution Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) have expressed their gratitude to founder Achyuta Samanta for his leadership and dedication.

KIIT also secured 13th rank among Indian universities and 147th position in Asia in the Times Higher Education Asia University Rankings 2023.

KIIT is located in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, and aims to work for quality education and academic excellence. The institute has got recognition both nationally and internationally.

Nanyang Technological University, Singapore has topped this year’s Times Higher Education Young University Rankings.
