Kotak Education Foundation launches scholarships for Class 11 students in Mumbai

NEW DELHI: Kotak Education Foundation (KEF), a part of the Kotak Mahindra Group, has introduced the Kotak Junior Scholarship programme for students in Classes 11 above who are from economically weak families living in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR). The KEF will focus on financial aid as well as the overall education and development of the students to support their continued engagement with education.

To be eligible, students must come from families with an annual income under Rs 3.2 lakh. The programme is open to students enrolled in schools affiliated to the Maharashtra state board, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE).

Application is open till June 30, 2023 and can be made online, at kotakeducation.org/kotak-junior-scholarship.

“KEF's scholarship wing has assisted students for over a decade, benefiting more than 3,600 scholars to date. More than 800 alumni have succeeded as professionals in leading companies and esteemed institutions,” the Kotak Education Foundation in a statement. KEF will also offer one-to-one mentoring, career guidance sessions, support for entrance exam preparation, exposure visits, and home visits.

Kotak Education Foundation Scholarship: Eligibility criteria

The eligibility criteria for KEF’s Kotak Junior Scholarship are given below:

  • 85% in the Class 10 SSC, CBSE or ICSE examination.

  • Admission in Class 11 in junior colleges in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR).

  • Family income must be less than Rs 3,20,000 per annum
