KS DAT 2026 registration begins; apply by June 5

The LBS Centre for Science and Technology has started the registration process for the Kerala State Design Aptitude Test (KS DAT) 2026 on the official website of Kerala LBS at lbsapplications.kerala.gov.in/ksdat2026/. The last date to fill out the form is June 5, 2026.

Through this entrance exam, applicants will get an admission to the B.Des programme in participating institutes across Kerala. The application fee for KS DAT 2026 is set at Rs 1,300 for general category candidates, while those belonging to SC/ST categories are required to pay Rs 650. The payment can be done through credit card/ debit card/ net banking.

The validity of required certificates is determined with reference to the closing date of the application. The non-creamy layer and income certificate are each valid for a period of one year, while the community certificate remains valid for up to three years.

KS DAT 2026: Steps to register

Candidates can fill out the application form for the KS DAT 2026 by following the mentioned below steps:

• Visit the official website of Kerala LBS at lbsapplications.kerala.gov.in/ksdat
• On the homepage, click on the “New Registration” and fill in the required details
• Click on the “Save & Continue” button and make the payment
• Upload the required documents and then submit
• The confirmation page will appear on the screen
• Download the confirmation page and take a printout for future purpose

KS DAT 2026 registration: Documents required

The necessary documents for the KS DAT 2026 are:

• S.S.L.C book or any other relevant record for date of birth proof
• Any certification to prove nativity
• Academic documents such as mark list/hall ticket of qualifying examination
• Non-creamy layer certificate issued for the state education purpose (if applicable)
• Community certificate (if applicable)
• Inter-caste certificate in the prescribed format (if applicable)

• For persons with disabilities (PwD) from medical board
• Certificate from a medical officer about the candidate is fit enough to enroll for B.Des course
• Income & community certificates in the prescribed format (if applicable)
• EWS certificate issued by the village officer
• Any other documents in the notification of the director LBS Centre of Science and Technology.

KS DAT registration 2026: Eligibility criteria

Candidates should have completed their 10+2 or an equivalent qualification from HSE Kerala or any board recognised by KTU, in line with AICTE norms. In terms of marks, a minimum aggregate of 45% is required for general category candidates, while those belonging to reserved categories must secure at least 40%.
