KSET 2025 application begins; syllabus out for 33 subjects, including general paper

Subscribe NowThe Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) has commenced the Karnataka State Eligibility Test (KSET) 2025 application process today, September 1. Candidates can now apply for KSET 2025 on the official website, cetonline.karnataka.gov.in. KEA has also published the KSET subject-wise PDF list for both paper 1 and 2 on its portal.
Candidates can download the list of 33 subjects available on the KEA portal cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/kea/indexnew, along with a general paper subject syllabus PDF.
KEA conducts the KSET 2025 exam to evaluate candidates' ability across various subjects for the recruitment of assistant professor positions in the state. Candidates having a master’s degree with atleast 55% marks (50% for reserved categories) from a recognised university can apply for the KSET recruitment exam.
KEA will conduct the KSET 2025 exam on November 2, and candidates will be given three hours to complete the exam. To apply for the KSET exam 2025, candidates will have to submit an application form, upload a photo and signature, pay the required fee, and take a printout of the application form for reference.

KSET exam pattern 2025
The KSET 2025 exam will include two papers: paper 1, having 50 questions of 100 marks, and paper 2 comprising 100 questions of 200 marks. The paper 1 questions will be general in nature to evaluate the teaching and research skills of the candidates. Paper 1 is mainly designed to test the reasoning ability, comprehension, thinking, and general awareness of the candidates. To pass the KSET 2025 exam, candidates in the general category will have to score atleast 40% marks in both papers and 35% marks for other category candidates.
KSET application fee for general category candidates is Rs 1,000, and other category candidates will have to pay Rs 700. As per the KSET 2025 schedule, the last date for fee payment is September 19, and the admit card will be issued on October 10.
