KVS final result: 76 candidates shortlisted as Principals; 220 selected for Vice-Principal’s post

NEW DELHI, DECEMBER 26: Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) has shortlisted 76 candidates to be appointed as Principals across various Kendirya Vidyalaya schools. Besides the result for KVS recruitment for Principals, the sangathan has also selected a total of 220 candidates as Vice-Principals.

For the post of Principal, 41 candidates have made it to the cut off from General category, while 19 candidates have been selected from the OBC category. From SC and ST categories, 11 and 5 candidates have been selected to be appointed as Principals across different KVs.

In case of Vice-Principals, 117 candidates have been shortlisted from General category, whereas 57 candidates have made it to the KVS cut off from OBC category. 31 candidates have made it to the list of selected candidates from SC category, while from the ST category 15 candidates have been shortlisted to be appointed as Vice-Principals.

Earlier, the final result of KVS for the posts of Vice-Principals was declared on December 20, while the result for Principals was announced on December 7. The result has been released in online mode wherein the PDF file reflects the list of roll numbers of the shortlisted candidates, names, category, sub-category, and date of birth of the shortlisted candidates.

The KVS result 2018 for the posts of PGTs, TGTs, Librarian and PRTs, will be announced in January 2019.

KVS final result has been declared days after the interviews for the post of Principal and Vice-Principal were held from November 29 to December 6 and from December 10 to 14, 2018 respectively. The result of the written examination of KVS 2018 for Principals and Vice-Principals was declared on November 17, 2018. Along with the result, the cutoff marks of the written examination were also released.

A total of 188 candidates were shortlisted for appearing in the interview for the post of Principal, whereas for Vice-Principals, 500 candidates were shortlisted to sit for the interview.

KVS recruitment is done for the appointment of Principals, Vice-Principals, PGTs, TGTs, Librarian and PRTs. For the current recruitment year, the authority has announced 8339 vacancies for these given posts.
