NEW DELHI: Master of Technology (M.Tech) is a postgraduate course in engineering pursued by candidates who have completed their undergraduate in various specializations. Admission into M.Tech courses is sometimes provided by institutes through their own entrance examination or through a common entrance exam which serves as a screening test for admissions to deserving candidates. Most of M. Tech admissions are solely or sometimes in addition based on the GATE scores.

The Graduate Admission Test for Engineering is conducted by one of the Indian Institutes of Technology at national level. The entrance exam is taken by more than 8 lakh students aspiring for M.Tech admissions and other aspects as well. Many engineering institutes accept GATE scores for M.Tech admissions. GATE COAP 2020
The round 2 seat allotment result of COAP has been announced on June 17. Round 1 seat allotment offers was released on June 10.

Vellore Institute of Technology Admission

The application form for M.Tech admissions in Vellore Institute of Technology is available till June 20. VIT usually conducts entrance examination called VITMEE for admissions into M. Tech programme. But because the scenario is different this year pertaining to the pandemic, the authorities shall conduct M. Tech admissions based on the applicants’ performance in the undergraduate degree. Those candidates with a valid GATE score shall be given preference.

IPU M.Tech Admission

The Indraprastha University has extended the last date to apply for admissions into various courses including that of M.Tech till June 30. Candidates who are GATE qualified are exempted from appearing in the entrance examination called IPU CET.

University of Hyderabad M.Tech Admission

The authorities have extended the last date to apply till June 30. M.Tech admissions in UOHyd are offered on the basis of GATE scores

TIET M.Tech Admission

The authorities have extended the last date to apply for M.Tech admission in Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology till June 30. Admissions into TIET M.Tech courses is offered on the basis of candidate’s performance in GATE examination.

Amrita University M.Tech Admissions

The application form for Amrita M. Tech admission is now available till July 5. Candidates who have qualified GATE/TANCET/PGCET/PGECET are eligible for direct admission.

IIIT Bangalore M.Tech Admission

The authorities have released the first list of shortlisted candidates for CSE and ECE streams. The second list of shortlisted candidates will be announced on July 10.

Kerala M.Tech Admission

Admissions into M.Tech courses in Kerala are offered on the basis of GATE scores. The authorities are expected to release an application form for Kerala M.Tech admissions in June.

IIIT Bhubaneswar .Tech Admissions

The authorities have released an application form for M. Tech admissions which is still available. They otherwise conduct a separate entrance exam, however, GATE scores are also the basis of providing M. Tech admissions in IIIT Bhubaneswar.

Sastra M. Tech Admissions

The authorities had released the application form for M. Tech admissions in Sastra University on April 2 and the same is available till June 27 in online mode.

IIT (ISM) Dhanbad M.Tech Admission

The authorities have released GATE cutoff for the first round of GATE COAP counselling. Online applications got over back in April 2020 for M.Tech admissions.

Nirma University M.Tech Admission

The authorities will soon release the application form for M. Tech admissions which are offered on the basis of GATE scores as well as through a separate entrance examination.

PDPU M.Tech Admissions

The application form for Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University is now available on the official website. Admissions into M.Tech courses shall be offered on basis of GATE or Qualifying CPI/CGPA.

CCMT Counselling

The authorities had started registrations on May 13 which was available till June 12. The round 1 seat allotment result was to be announced on June 17 which has been withheld due to administrative reasons. New date of seat allotment will be announced soon.

TANCA

Tamil Nadu Common Admissions are conducted for M. Tech admissions in Anna University based on candidates’ performance in GATE or TANCET. Application forms are expected to be released in the last week of July.

Maharashtra M. Tech Admission

The authorities are expected to release the application form for Maharashtra M.Tech 2020 admissions in the second week of July. Admissions shall be offered to candidates who apply within the time stipulated on the basis of GATE scores.
