The Life’s Good Scholarships will be awarded based on two key criteria- need-based and merit-based, as per LG.

NEW DELHI: LG Electronics, a consumer durable brand in India, has introduced its flagship CSR initiative, the Life’s Good Scholarship Programme. As per LG Electronics, this scholarship programme is designed to support students across the country by offering financial aid for higher education, with a special emphasis on promoting education for the girl child.
LG Electronics India held the inaugural edition of its flagship scholarship programme at its corporate office in Noida today, August 28. During the event, the managing director of LG Electronics India felicitated scholars from three institutions- Galgotias University, Jaipuria Institute of Management, and Lloyd Law College.
The Life’s Good Scholarship, is a collaborative initiative with the NGO Buddy4Study Foundation, which will assist in identifying and supporting talented youth, providing equal educational opportunities for both deserving and underprivileged students. The LG press release read, "Through this initiative, LG Electronics aims to make a meaningful impact by reducing financial barriers to education and fostering the growth of future leaders."
The Life’s Good Scholarship Programme is open to students at any stage of their higher education who have attained a minimum of 60% in their previous academic year. Scholarships will be awarded based on financial need and academic performance. The financial aid provided will cover 50% of tuition fees, with a maximum limit of Rs 1 lakh for undergraduate students and up to INR 2 lakh for postgraduate students, whichever amount is lower.

In the need-based category, 25% of the scholarships will be allocated to students from economically modest backgrounds. As per the LG official press release, merit-based scholarships will be given to students who have scored at least 75% in their Class 12 exams or maintained a 7 GPA in later academic years. Furthermore, to promote girl child education, 25% of the merit-based scholarships will be specifically designated for exceptional female students.
