NEW DELHI, MARCH 2: Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) has released the application form for LIC AAO 2019. Along with the application form, the corporation has also released the notification for the exam wherein it has announced total of 590 vacancies for the recruitment year 2019-20. The application form has been released in online mode. Aspiring candidates can start filling the LIC AAO application form 2019 and pay the fee from March 2 to 22.
LIC AAO 2019 vacancies have been announced for the recruitment of Assistant Administrative Officers (AAOs) for the posts of Generalist/IT/Chartered Accountant/Actuarial/Rajbhasha. The authority has announced the exam dates and admit card dates through the official notification.
According to LIC officials, the prelims examination of LIC AAO 2019 would be conducted on May 4 and 5, while LIC AAO mains exam 2019 would be conducted on June 28, 2019. The admit card for prelims exam would be out on April 22 and would continue till April 30, 2019.
Apart from these dates, the authority has not declared any other dates. However, the detailed eligibility, process of registration, result, etc have been mentioned in the notification.
It must be noted that LIC AAO exam is being held after a gap of 2 years. LIC AAO was earlier held in 2016 wherein a total of 700 vacancies were announced. In 2018, there were some fake reports which claimed that LIC AAO vacancies have been announced, but those reports carried no truth. Careers360 had reported against those false reports (which claimed that LIC AAO would be conducted in 2018) after confirmation from the LIC officials.
In 2016 where the vacancies were 700, this time the authority has announced lesser number of vacancies as compared to that year. Against 700 vacancies in 2016, LIC AAO vacancies in 2019 are 590. This means that the authority has announced 110 lesser vacancies than in 2016.
Out of the 590 vacancies, 350 are for Generalist, 150 for IT, 50 for Chartered Accountant, 30 for Actuarial, and 10 for Rajbhasha. To be recruited as AAOs at LIC, candidates have to clear prelims, mains, interview and pre-recruitment medical examination.
