LIC offers Golden Jubilee Scholarship 2021 for EWS students

NEW DELHI: Life Insurance Corporation of India is providing a Golden Jubilee Scholarship Scheme 2021 for students belonging to the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) for pursuing higher studies. The last date for online application is December 31, 2021. Candidates can apply only through online mode.
The scholarship will be provided for students pursuing studies in government or private colleges in India. The LIC golden jubilee scholarship 2021 is also extended to the technical and vocational courses in Industrial Training Institutes affiliated with the National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT) and also integrated courses after Class 12.

LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship 2021: Eligibility criteria
LIC has different criteria for scholarships for regular scholars and special girl child scholars:

For the regular scholarships, all candidates who have passed Class 10 and Class 12 exam (or its equivalent) with at least 60% marks (or equivalent grade) in the academic year 2020-21 and whose guardian have an annual income not exceeding Rs 2 lakh per annum are eligible to apply for a scholarship.
Scholarship for girl child

Special scholarship for girl child is provided after class 10 for pursuing higher studies in intermediate or 10 + 2 pattern for two years.

Candidates who attained 60% marks or an equivalent grade in the Class 10 exam in the academic year 2020-21 are eligible, provided that their guardian has an annual income not exceeding Rs. 2 lakh per annum.
The regular scholarship is for students who are pursuing undergraduate studies (or its equivalent including integrated courses) and not for postgraduate studies.

The scholarship will be provided for the entire duration of the course for regular scholars and two years for special girl scholars, subject to the candidate fulfilling requisite eligibility conditions for renewal.
An amount of Rs 20,000 per annum will be awarded to the selected regular scholar and shall be payable in three instalments. An amount of Rs 10,000 per annum will be awarded for selected special girl child pursuing studies in the 10 + 2 course and scholarship shall be payable in three instalments.
