NEW DELHI: To help students study during the lockdown, the Central Board of Secondary Education, or CBSE, has made books for classes 1 to 12 available online.

These books, developed by the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) are available in PDF format, as well as flipbooks in English and Hindi.

The books can be downloaded for free from NCERT’s website (http://ncert.nic.in/ebooks.html).

All the examinations have been postponed and the schools shut down across the country from March 25 due the lockdown imposed to combat COVID-19. The lockdown will be in force till May 3.

The authorities have decided to promote the students of Class 1 to 9 and Class 11 without examinations.

CBSE had notified that it would intimate the new exam dates 10 days before the examinations start, once the lockdown is over.
