NEW DELHI, DECEMBER 1: Sharing his passion for Machine Learning with Engineering & Technology students, world’s youngest IBM Watson programmer, Tanmay Bakshi spoke how Machine Learning takes something so human about us, that is learning, and stimulate that with machines.
He was speaking at a ‘Tech Talk’ organized by the Department of Computer Science & Engineering of Sharda University, which witnessed over 250 students participating in the session. During his address, he thanked Sharda University for inviting him and said, “My passion is 'Machine Learning' technology, (and) in fact as we speak, this technology is impacting hundreds of fields and hundreds and thousands of lives across the world. It helps us take something so human about us, that is learning, and stimulate that with machines.”
Tanmay is a 15-year IBM Cloud champion, AI Expert, TED Keynote speaker, and a media personality who has addressed over 200,000 executives, leaders, intellectuals, and developers worldwide at international conferences, schools and universities, financial institutions and multinationals.
The Tech Talk was organized with the objective of motivating students and enhance their knowledge on new-age technologies. Calling for enhancing the reach of Machine Learning technology, he added, “I also love taking this technology and make it more and more accessible to everyone around the world.”
Tanmay loves to implement AI architectures which led him to build numerous applications in fields ranging from finance to cybersecurity, education to music and entertainment. His inclination towards implementing AI in the field of healthcare got him working on two of his main projects, which are very close to his heart - the first is focused on helping those with Rett Syndrome so they can ‘speak’ through the detection and interpretation of EEG bio-signals. These EEG signals are analyzed by cognitive systems. The second project focuses on suicide prevention through depression mitigation using Augmented Intelligence.
Some of the new age technology programmes offered by Department of Computer Science & Engineering of Sharda University include B. Tech with specialization in Data Science, IoT& Application, Artificial Intelligence, block-chain and machine learning.
