MP Budget 2023: 900 new CM Rise schools, increase in MBBS seats announced

NEW DELHI: Setting up 900 new CM Rise schools, an increase in the number of MBBS seats and teaching technical courses in Hindi are among the various initiatives presented during the Madhya Pradesh budget today. The Madhya Pradesh government on Wednesday, March 1, presented the budget for the financial year 2023-24 in the assembly. The MP government has announced several education-related initiatives as part of the budget presented today.

Rs 38,375 crore has been provided for education in the MP budget 2023. The allotted amount is Rs 5,532 crore more than that provided last year.

Sharing the takeaways of MP education budget 2023, Inder Singh Parmar school education minister Madhya Pradesh government, said: “The budget will strengthen the goal of the state government to strengthen the foundation of the culture of education in children and the development of their overall personality.”

MP Budget 2023: CM Rise Schools

The government has allocated Rs 277 crore for the new education policy in the budget presented today. As per the social media post of the school education minister, Rs 3,230 crore is allotted for CM Rise School and it has been proposed to establish 900 new CM Rise schools in the state.

CM Rise schools are equipped with digital classrooms, libraries, laboratories and high standard facilities and for the operation of these schools, effective training is imparted to selected teachers, school leaders, principals and vice principals. Play-theme based paintings and boards informing about value-based education are also put up in these CM Rise schools.

As part of the MP education budget 2023, Chief Minister Girl Scooty Scheme is also announced and it has been proposed to present e-scooty to Class 12 toppers in all government schools of the state.

Madhya Pradesh Budget 2023: Medical, Engineering Colleges

An amount of Rs 400 crore has been earmarked for 25 medical colleges in the budget presented today. MBBS seats are also proposed to be increased from the current 2,055 to 3,605.

Six engineering and six polytechnic colleges will also impart teaching in Hindi, the budget presented today added.
