Maharashtra education minister Deepak Kesarkar inaugrates Sampark Smart Shala programme

A total of 150 government schools will be upgraded under the Sampark Smart Shala Smart Blocks’ in Sindhudurg district of Maharashtra.

NEW DELHI: Maharashtra education minister Deepak Kesarkar inaugurated ‘Sampark Smart Shala Smart Blocks’ programme to upgrade all government schools with smart equipment and gadgets in Sindhudurg district of the state. ‘Sampark Smart Shala Smart Block’ programme is an initiative to upgrade all government primary schools into smart schools one block at a time.

In Sindhudurg district, 150 government schools will be upgradded. Under the programme, Sampark Foundation will invest in installing Televisions that have lesson plans, videos, worksheets, gamified assessments, songs, and stories mapped with SCERT textbooks for classes KG to 5. This will work without the need for the Internet. The schools will also be equipped with with innovative TLMs to teach language and math. The teachers of the primary schools will be trained in the smart pedagogy.

These resources are carefully curated to align with the state curriculum and are organised based on subjects and grade levels. State government education officers will support the activities and will closely monitor them to ensure the successful implementation of the program.

During the inauguration event, state education minister said, "I am delighted to see such a large-scale innovative program being launched in our state. With the expertise and dedication of the SAMPARK Foundation, I am confident it will be a success, around 5,000 children from Sawantwadi, Dodamarg, Vengurla blocks of Sindhudurg district will benefit from special program”

Sampark Smartshala is already been showing great results in the other states of India Shri Vineet Nayar, chairman of SAMPARK Foundation said, ““Smart classrooms will enable teachers to teach and engage with children through interactive learning. This has made the task of ‘teaching in the right way’ very easy and the learning environment in the classroom is energized with excitement.”
