Over 15 lakh to write Maharashtra HSC board exam 2025 from tomorrow; section 144 at exam centres

NEW DELHI: Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) will conduct the higher secondary school certificate examination or Maharashtra HSC Class 12 board exams 2025 from tomorrow. A total of 15,05,037 (15 lakh) students will be appearing for the Maharashtra HSC Class 12 board exams.

Section 144 will be imposed and xerox centres within 500 meters of the exam centre will be closed on the exam days, the board said while notifying measures to ensure copy-free examination.

The Maharashtra Class 12th board exams 2025 will be conducted by the nine divisional boards of the MSBSHSE Pune, Nagpur, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Mumbai, Kolhapur, Amravati, Nashik, Latur, and Konkan from February 11 to March 18. The Class 12 students will appear for the exam in 3,373 exam centres and 10,550 colleges.

Maharashtra HSC exam: Branch-wise number of students

A total of 15,05,037 students have registered for this exam. Out of which 8,10,348 are boys, 6,94,652 are girls and 37 are transgender.

The Maharashtra Class 12th exam of the two subjects 'Information Technology' and 'General Knowledge' will be conducted online, the board said, adding that a total of 2,12,213 students have registered for the IT subject and 1,706 students for GK. The exams for both the subjects will be held between March 12 to March 18, as per the Maha HSC board exam time table 2025. The details of the number of students branch-wise are as follows.

Mental health counselling for students

To help students deal with the “mental pressure, exam fear, negative thoughts, and depression” the state board has appointed 10 counselors. Also, two counselors have been appointed at the divisional board level for each district to guide students and clear their doubts. Also, helpline facilities have been provided by operating control rooms in the state board and 9 divisional boards, the Maharashtra board said.
