Use NowNEW DELHI: The State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell, has published the revised provisional merit list for the Maharashtra National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test for Postgraduate (NEET PG 2024) round 1 counselling for in-service candidates. The Maharashtra NEET PG state merit list has been revised following the Bombay High Court’s order granting relief to medical candidates.
Eligible candidates can download the Maharashtra NEET PG 2024 revised merit list PDF from the official website, medical2024.mahacet.org. The merit list carries details of 112 candidates including their percentile score in the state-specific NEET-PG 2024, roll number, category, and the candidate's name. It also includes the PG application number and other relevant information provided by the CET Cell for NEET.
The institute will declare the selection list for in-service candidates on December 10, 2024. Candidates will have to physically join and submit the status retention form, along with all original documents and the requisite fees through DD, cheque, or online mode at the allotted college from December 11 to December 14, 2024, by 5:30 pm.
Maharashtra NEET PG Counselling 2024: High Court’s decision
A group of postgraduate medical aspirants from the 20% state quota for in-service candidates approached the High Court with petitions to reopen the first round of NEET PG 2024 admissions claiming that their incentive marks were excluded while preparing the merit list.
The High Court directed the CET Cell to release a revised merit list for CAP round 1 of Maharashtra NEET PG 2024 counselling, allowing in-service candidates to re-submit their preferences. The court also ordered a fresh seat allocation process for the 20% in-service quota in the first CAP round, to be completed by December 15, 2024, ensuring no impact on the second CAP round starting December 16, 2024.
