Maharashtra RTE lottery result 2026 released for 1.14 lakh seats. Details on merit list, steps to download, and documents verification round

The Maharashtra Government's School Education and Sports Department has declared the Maharashtra RTE lottery result 2026 for admission under the right to education (RTE) act. Candidates can access their result on the official admission portal at student.maharashtra.gov.in. This result is for the applicants who have registered for the 25% reserved quota seats.
For the RTE Maharashtra 2026–27 admissions, a total of 8,701 schools are participating under the scheme, offering 1,14,826 seats. Against these vacancies, as many as 2,89,337 applications have been received, reflecting high demand for RTE admissions across the state.
The Maharashtra RTE results are released in multiple stages, beginning with the main selection list followed by waiting lists. Students whose names appear in the merit list can proceed with the admission process right away. Those who do not secure a seat in the initial round are advised to regularly check the official website, as vacant seats are allotted in later rounds through the waiting list.

To download the lottery result, candidates can follow the steps given below:
Visit the official website of RTE Maharashtra at student.maharashtra.gov.in.
On the homepage, click on the RTE Maharashtra admission 2026 link available.
A login page will open where applicants need to enter the registration details and then submit.
The lottery result will appear on the screen.
Download the lottery result and take a printout for further reference.
Students selected in the Maharashtra RTE Merit List 2026 have to appear for the document verification. For this round, they must submit essential documents including child’s birth certificate, Aadhaar card of the child and parents, residence proof (ration card / electricity Bill /rental agreement, etc.), income certificate (for economically weaker section), caste certificate (if applicable), disability certificate (if applicable), orphan/single parent/divorce-related documents (if applicable), passport-size photographs, RTE application form printout and allotment letter.

Admission will be confirmed by the school on the official portal only after successful verification of these documents. The authorities have also set a deadline within which selected students must report to their allotted schools.
