MAHE Bengaluru holds 31st convocation ceremony; over 600 students get degrees

NEW DELHI: 400 undergraduate students, 163 postgraduate, 12 PhD scholars and 28 PGDP students were awarded degrees during the 31st convocation ceremony of the Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) held today, October 5.

Adya Girdhar, a student of Bachelor of Design (BDEs) programme received Dr TMA Pai Gold Medal for the best outgoing graduate student of Srishti Manipal Institute of Art, Design and Technology, Bangalore.

Manish Sabharwal, vice-chairman of TeamLease Services Limited, Bengaluru, graced the event as the chief guest, and S G Vasudev as the guest of honor.

Addressing the convocation, Sabharwal emphasized the importance of education as a foundation for both personal and professional success. He remarked, "Graduation is not the end but the beginning of a new journey where your acquired knowledge will guide you in contributing to society and shaping your future. MAHE has equipped you with the skills needed to excel in a rapidly changing world”.

S G Vasudev, in his address, spoke about the importance of creativity and self-expression in all walks of life. He stated, "Education is not just about acquiring knowledge; it is about fostering creativity and cultivating a sense of purpose. I encourage all graduates to explore their unique talents and use them to contribute meaningfully to the world".

M D Venkatesh, vice-chancellor of MAHE Manipal, congratulated the graduates and highlighted the institution’s commitment to excellence in education.
