‘Maintain discipline if chits are caught’, UP teacher to students
NEW DELHI: In a viral video, the manager of an intermediate school in Uttar Pradesh was caught on camera advising students on what to do when caught cheating. He was giving last-minute guidelines to the students prior to the state board examination.
In the video posted by Asian News International, the manager of Harivansh Memorial Inter College tells students to “maintain discipline if chits are caught”. He further instructs them to “fold hands and apologize” as “the whole school will suffer” if they argue with the teachers.
“Attempt all questions,” He instructed as invigilators and other staff members looked on. “Attempt the questions and keep a Rs 100 note with the answer sheet and teachers will give marks with their eyes closed.” He ended his succinct monologue with chants of “Jai Hind, Jai Bharat”.

Meanwhile, the Department of Secondary Education, Uttar Pradesh, in a statement informed that 78 students were caught cheating in the board examinations conducted on February 18 and 19.
The release further said that First Information reports against nine officials were filed by February 19 for “unlawful activities” during the examinations.
According to the release, more than three lakh students were absent for the examinations conducted on both these days.
