MIT launches BTech in electronics engineering (VLSI design and technology)

MIT’s new BTech programme will cover digital electronics, VLSI design and testing, analog and mixed-signal circuits, etc.

NEW DELHI: Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT)’s department of electronics and communication engineering, in collaboration with a semi conductor laboratory, has launched BTech in Electronics Engineering (VLSI design and technology).

BTech Electronics Engineering (VLSI Design and Technology) programme will cover a wide range of topics such as digital electronics, VLSI design and testing, analog and mixed-signal circuits, and more. Besides, the engineering course will also provide training with industry standard EDA tools in the labs, specialized semiconductor device and process simulation tools for understanding device fabrication and process flow and sponsored projects, internships and research opportunities in the final semester.

“As part of India's Semiconductor Mission, this exceptional program is specially curated to support the creation and scaling up of an ecosystem for semiconductors as well as bridge the skills gap in all facets of the industry,” read a statement from MIT.

Speaking of the launch of the BTech programme, Cdr Anil Rana, director, MIT Manipal, said “The BTech in Electronics Engineering (VLSI Design and Technology) program is designed to provide students with the theoretical and practical skills required to excel in the fast-paced and ever-changing field of electronics. Through this program, students will not only gain knowledge, but they will also gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge technology, allowing them to excel in their future careers.”
