MCC NEET PG 2024 round 1, 2 seat resignation deadline today; reporting at allotted institute required

Download nowNEW DELHI: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will close the resignation window for candidates who want to opt out for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Postgraduate (NEET PG) 2024 round 1 and round 2 seats today, January 8. Candidates who want to resign from their NEET PG 2024 round 1, 2 seats can do so through the official website at mcc.nic.in.
As per the schedule, the deadline to resign from MCC NEET PG round 1 and 2 seats is 6 pm. Earlier, the NEET PG resignation deadline set for December 26 but was however extended by MCC.
As per the committee, the decision to facilitate the resignation was taken following requests from PG candidates who want to resign their Round1 or Round-2 seats due to various reasons.
Report physically at the allotted college to resign
“MCC is in receipt of many requests from PG candidates who want to resign their Round1 or Round-2 seats due to various reasons. In this regard, the competent authority has decided to allow Resignation for such candidates", the official notice read.

Candidates will have to report physically at the allotted college to resign from their seat. Candidates are advised to ensure that their resignation letter is generated online (through a portal provided by MCC) by the allotted college. Failing which the NEET PG round 1, 2 resignation will be treated as ‘Null & Void’,” the MCC said.
NEET PG round 1, 2 seat resignation steps
- Visit Allotted College - Candidates are required to visit the allotted college to initiate the resignation process.
- Online Resignation Letter - Ensure the resignation letter is generated online by the college.
- Upgraded Seats - Candidates upgraded in round 2 who wish to resign can do so with forfeiture of their security deposit.
- Forfeiture of Security Deposit - NEET PG round 1, 2 resignation will result in the forfeiture of the deposit for those who vacate their allotted seats.
