MCC NEET UG Counselling 2025: Revised schedule out; round 2 choice filling open till September 15

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has issued the revised schedule for the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET UG) 2025 counselling. As per the revised schedule, candidates can now fill their choices for NEET UG round 2 counselling 2025 till September 15, 2025. The choice locking facility will remain open from September 14 to September 15, 2025.

NEET UG 2025 round 2 seat allotment result will be announced on September 17. Candidates allotted seats in this round will have to report and complete joining formalities between September 18 and September 25, 2025. The NEET UG 2025 round 3 counselling registration will begin from September 29 to October 5, 2025.

Earlier, the committee announced the NEET UG counselling extension following the addition of 197 seats in the round 2 seat matrix and ongoing verification of Non-Resident Indian (NRI) documents. However, the revised NEET UG counselling 2025 dates were not announced.

Candidates who have already submitted their preferences for NEET UG round 2 counselling 2025 can update their choices to include the newly added seats. As per the NEET UG 2025 seat matrix issued after the first round of counselling, a total of 1,134 newly added seats are available for Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) and Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) courses.

In addition, 7,088 virtual vacancy seats and 13,501 clear vacancy seats are available across MBBS, BDS, and Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSc Nursing) courses. These figures do not include the recently added 197 seats for round 2 counselling.
