MDI Gurgaon hosts Induction Ceremony for its new PGP 2019-21 Batch

NEW DELHI, JUNE 13: MDI Gurgaon commenced its 10-day Induction Programme for the Batch of 2019-21. The 10-day long induction ceremony comprised students from Post Graduate Programmes namely 26th batch of Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGPM), 16th batch of Post-Graduate Programme in Human Resource Management (PGP-HRM) and 14th batch of Post-Graduate Programme International Management (PGP-IM).

Prof. Atmanand, Director (Additional Charge), MDI Gurgaon addressed the welcome note to add vigour and motivation to the new batch of students. He said, “Our aim at this prestigious institute is to nurture, enable, and ennoble thought leaders of tomorrow who will lead the world of business towards the path of progress. We are delighted to welcome a new batch of future leaders into the MDI family. The youth of today possesses unmatched, unbridled potential and, as one of India’s premium B-schools, it is our responsibility to harness this potential borne by each and every student.”

The induction ceremony was graced by industry stalwarts - Mr. Anurag Batra (Chairman & Editor-in-Chief Business World), Dr. Shalini Lal (Former Director HR, Deutsche Bank & Serial Entrepreneur) and Dr. Pravin Goel (MD & Country Head, BlackRock) along with academecians from the institute. In their inaugural address, the guests talked about their personal anecdotes and motivated the students to follow ethics and keep collaborating with each other with a ‘never give up’ attitude.

True to its promise of enlightenment in an aspirational environment where students are bred to excel and not just indulge in a one-dimensional curriculum, a week long ceremony will familiarize the new batch with the faculty members’ along with information sessions regarding the various facilities available to the students as well as student events and clubs.

The 10 day long induction week will comprise of ice-breaking sessions, classes with some of the leading business luminaries and workshops on themes like Living Well - The secrets of Mind Management, Responsible Citizen behaviour - You & Us and Creativity to experience innovation and happiness. The new batch will now have an access to the best academic, research, and co-curricular facilities in the management domain in India.

Abiding to the goal of creating fit, healthy and morally upright corporate professionals, MDI will celebrate International Yoga Day on June 21st as a part of induction ceremony.
