MH CET Law Counselling 2026: Choice filling deadline extended; 3,600 seats added

Candidates applying for the 3-year and 5-year LLB programmes through MH CET Law counselling 2026, can now access round 1 choice filling facility by August 9.

The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Examination Cell (CET) has announced the revised schedule for admission to 3-year and 5-year LLB programmes. The MAH CET cell has added 78 new law colleges and 3,600 seats for the MAH CET law counselling 2026. Candidates can access the MAH CET LLB round 1 choice filling facility through the official website at cetcell.mahacet.org.

According to the revised schedule, the authority has extended the deadline to fill the preferred choices of colleges and law programmes for the MAH CET LLB counselling to August 9.

The seat allotment result for admission to 3-year LLB programmes will be declared on August 12, while the allotment list for 5-year law courses will be announced on August 13.

Maharashtra LLB Counselling 2026: Over 200 law colleges participating

Those who will be allotted seats for 3-year LLB admissions will have to report to their allotted colleges for documents verification from August 13 to 18 (except August 15).

Candidates who have applied for 5-year law courses and will be allotted LLB seats should have to report at their allotted colleges from August 14 to 19 (except August 15).

Moreover, the CET cell has also opened the facility to change the preference for candidates who have already submitted their choices, according to the official notification. Students can go to their login on the CAP portal and add new available colleges or change their existing college preference by August 9.

At present, there are a total 134 colleges and 2,250 new seats available for the 3-year LLB programmes. Hence, the total number of available new seats have reached 12,355 till date, according to the notice.
