The Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell will conduct MHT CET 2026 BTech and MBA entrance exams twice a year. Maharashtra's education minister Chandrakant Patil has announced that the state’s 11 CET boards will conduct MHT CET 2025 in April and May from the next academic year onwards.

Next year, the first entrance exam for the three courses PCM, PCB and MBA will be conducted in April 2026. The second entrance exam will be held in May 2026. The detailed schedule of these examinations will be announced by the CET cell soon.

The education minister said: "There are two entrance exams for JEE at the national level, so students get two opportunities. Similarly, students in Maharashtra will get two opportunities through these two entrance exams. A student must give one entrance exam and the second entrance exam will be optional. If a student gives two entrance exams, the one with the highest score out of the two will be considered for admission."
