The directive comes in compliance with the Supreme Court and All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) order for admission undergraduate and postgraduate technical courses.

According to the CET Cell circular, the date will be considered the final deadline for all types of admissions, including the Centralized Admission Process (CAP) and institutional-level rounds.
All eligible candidates participating in the ongoing CAP rounds or institutional vacancy rounds must ensure that the admission process, fee payment, and system reporting on the portal are completed before this deadline; students, parents, and institutions are advised to take note of this.
MHT CET CAP 2026
The State Cell has issued the MHT CET 2026 CAP list of vacant seats. Candidates can download the vacant seat matrix PDF on its official website at fe2026.mahacet.org. The cutoff dates for all types of admission for the academic year are set to September 14 at 5 pm.
For candidates taking part in institutional-level admission after the CAP round, the merit list will be displayed, and shortlisted applicants will have to complete the admission process. The last date for cancellation of a seat with a full fee refund is September 13.
Maharashtra State Cell conducts MHT CET CAP 2026 counselling, which is the official online counseling and seat allocation system used to allot college seats in government, aided, autonomous, and private colleges for professional courses across Maharashtra.
