Maharashtra CET Cell alerts MHT CET, MBA candidates of spam calls promising higher marks

NEW DELHI: The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Examination Cell (CET Cell) has cautioned MHT CET candidates appearing for the engineering and MBA entrance examinations of scam calls making fake promises to increase their scores in the exam.

The Maharashtra CET Cell received complaints regarding the "improper increase in percentile" of candidates through spam calls from persons with criminal tendencies, mainly in MBA/ MMS and Engineering CET examinations conducted in the academic year 2025-26.
The Maharashtra police have filed an FIR in this matter. The concerned persons have been arrested, the CET Cell said.
“All the concerned candidates appearing for various common entrance examinations are appealed to study properly and give the common entrance examination without falling prey to such scams/bait,” it said.

The MHT CET 2025 exam is conducted for engineering admission and MAH MBA, MMS are held for management admissions in Maharashtra government, govt-aided colleges.
Candidates who have applied for engineering will have to appear for the physics, chemistry, and mathematics (PCM) exams and those who have registered for medicine and pharmacy will have to appear for physics, chemistry, and biology (PCB).
The MHT CET PCB entrance exam 2025 will be held from April 9 to 17 and the MHT CET PCM exams will be conducted from April 19 to 27. The MHT CET admit card 2025 is expected to be issued soon on the official website, cetcell.mahacet.org.
