The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell will conduct MHT CET PCM 2026 phase 1 exams from April 11 to 20 at 198 test centres across 36 districts of the state. According to the State Cell’s guidelines, students must reach the exam centres as per the reporting time mentioned in their admit card, along with the required documents for verification purposes.

A total of 4,79,332 students will write the MHT CET 2026 phase 1 PCM exams, while around 2.96 lakh students will appear for phase 2. Across both opportunities, a total of 775,885 students will appear for the MHT CET 2026 PCM group exams.

State Cell will conduct MHT CET PCM 2026 phase 2 exams between May 14 and 16. A student must appear for the phase 1 entrance exam, while the phase 2 test remains optional.

As per the State Cell’s statistics, for last year’s MHT CET PCM entrance exam, 464,262 students had initially registered; however, the total number of registrations has reached 479,332, marking an increase of 15,070.

MHT CET 2026: Things to carry, biometrics

The MHT CET 2026 exam-day guidelines stipulated by the State Cell are listed below:

  • Students must reach the exam centres as per the reporting time mentioned on their admit card.
  • No student will be allowed to enter the exam centre after the scheduled gate-closing time for the examination.
  • Candidates will not be allowed to enter the exam hall based on a photocopy (Xerox) or an attested copy of their ID.
  • Candidates requiring the assistance of a scribe or seeking extra time must carry their Disability Certificate or UDID Card (original document) for verification purposes.
  • Upon arrival at the exam centre, the candidate’s ID will be verified through the capturing of their fingerprints and photograph.

Documents to carry:

  • Printed admit card with your photograph affixed in the designated space and bearing your signature.
  • One original and valid Identity Proof (ID) from the list of acceptable documents provided on the admit card.
  • Disability certificate or UDID Card (original document) for verification purposes, if required.

MHT CET PCM 2026: Paper timings

The MHT CET 2026 exam will be held for a total duration of 180 minutes and is divided into two parts. The first 90 minutes will be allotted to physics and chemistry. This section will automatically 'submit' exactly 90 minutes after the time elapses.

Subsequently, the time countdown for the maths section will start for the following 90 minutes.

Notably, as per CET Cell’s guidelines, if your chosen exam medium is Marathi or Urdu, and if any discrepancy arises regarding the questions within the exam, the English version of the question paper shall be considered final.
