MICA records highest internship stipend of Rs 3.5 lakh; 100% students placed

MICA summer placements 2021: Top recruiters were LÓreal, ITC Limited, Mahindra Group, Microsoft, The Coca Cola Company, Flipkart, Google India, etc.
NEW DELHI: MICA, Ahmedabad has recorded the highest-ever internship stipend of Rs 3.5 lakhs for the two-month summer placements 2021 for its 2021-23 batch.
The institute continued its 100% placement record for the 28th batch of its flagship PGDM-C and PGDM programmes.

Around 67 companies participated in the summer placement process in virtual mode. The FMCG sector offered the highest stipend at Rs 3.5 lakhs which was Rs 3.2 lakhs last year, followed by the IT sector, offering Rs 2.5 lakhs against Rs 2.4 lakhs in 2020. The Media and Advertising sector recorded the highest stipend at Rs 1,60,000.
178 students participated in summer placements, of which 48.9% were females, and 51.1% were males. The batch included 38% engineers, 33% commerce graduates, 7% from Arts and Humanities, 7% from Media, and 16% from other disciplines.
In terms of offers, the IT, ITES sector made 56 offers followed by Media and Advertisement and the FMCG sector at 49 and 30 offers respectively.
Noteworthy recruiters included LÓreal, ITC Limited, Mahindra Group, Microsoft, The Coca Cola Company, Flipkart, Google India, Nivea, Tata Consumer Products Ltd., Procter & Gamble, Diageo, etc.
New recruiters such as The Coca Cola Company, Microsoft, Intel India, Astrum, Adani Solar, Wonderlab, Zoo Media, Society Tea, Redbus, CoinDCX, Cupshup, Gartner, Gameberry Labs, Agri10x, Manash Lifestyle Pvt. Ltd. (Purplle.com), Zyla Health, Council of Energy, Environment, and Water, CimCon Software India Pvt.Ltd., etc. took part.
