Maharashtra Board HSC Result 2026: 89.79% students passed, class 12 scores at mahresult.nic.in

Among regular candidates, a total of 14,44,713 students registered for the exam, out of which 14,33,058 appeared and 12,86,843 successfully passed. The pass percentage stood at 80.21% for private students, while repeaters recorded a pass rate of 36.44%. Divyang (specially abled) students performed notably well with a pass percentage of 90.58%.

Region-wise, the Konkan division emerged as the top performer with a 94.14% pass rate, whereas the Latur division recorded the lowest at 84.14%. Additionally, the board highlighted that 26 subjects achieved a perfect 100% result.

Among fresh regular candidates, a total of 7,58,184 boys appeared for the exam, out of which 6,58,144 passed, resulting in a pass percentage of 86.8%. In comparison, 6,74,874 girls appeared, with 6,28,699 successfully clearing the exam, recording a higher pass percentage of 93.15%.

MSBSHSE HSC result 2026: Steps to check

To check the Maharashtra Board HSC result 2026, students need to follow the steps given below:

• Visit the official website mahresult.nic.in
• Click on the “Maharashtra HSC Result - Examination 2026" link
• Enter the details, including a valid roll number and seat and then submit
• The Maharashtra 12th result will appear on the screen
• Download the Maharashtra Class 12 Result 2026 and take a printout for future reference

Students must obtain a minimum of 35% marks in every subject, with separate qualifying marks required in both theory and practical components. In simple terms, at least 35 out of 100 marks are needed to clear a subject.

Class improvement scheme and revaluation details

Under the class improvement scheme, students who have passed all subjects but wish to enhance their scores will be given three chances—in June–July 2026, February–March 2027, and June–July 2027. For verification and obtaining photocopies of answer sheets, applications can be submitted online through the official website between May 3 and May 17, 2026, with a fee of Rs 50 per subject for verification and Rs 400 per subject for photocopies.

Students seeking revaluation must first obtain a photocopy and then apply within five working days of receiving it, by paying Rs 300 per subject. Additionally, divisional boards have been directed to give priority to Science stream students applying for verification or revaluation, especially those preparing for competitive exams like JEE and NEET.
