Mumbai University Admission 2026: Application starts on May 6 for UG courses; reservation, important dates

Mumbai University will accept the pre-admission online registration on the official website, muugadmission.samarth.edu.in, from 11 am onwards.
The University of Mumbai (MU) has announced the Mumbai University admission 2026 dates for undergraduate degree courses. Eligible students can apply for MU UG admission 2026 on the official website, muugadmission.samarth.edu.in, from May 6 at 11 am onwards.
Mumbai University will accept admissions for three-year UG academic programmes, 4-year honours in research, and 5-year integrated UG and PG courses, as per NEP 2020 guidelines.
Earlier, before the Maharashtra board HSC results 2026 were announced, MU began the pre-registration process for UG admissions.
The university conducts the MU pre-registration process in two parts. The first part is completed before the announcement of Class 12 results, while the dates for the second part of the registration and application process have been announced after the HSC result declaration.

To apply for the Mumbai University admission 2026, students must keep their scanned photograph and signatures, educational certificates, and category certificates ready in the required format mentioned on the official website.

For the Mumbai University admission 2026, the reservation for various categories will be as per the government norms mentioned below:

Additionally, special provisions for reservation for women (30%), physically handicapped (5%), wards or grandchildren of free fighters, wards of central and state governments, ex-servicemen, national or state-level sports achievers, widows or deserted female students will be offered for Mumbai University admission 2026.
Also, 15% management quota will apply to all the colleges, including minority colleges, as per the norms.
