Mumbai University extends PG application deadline extended to May 30; merit list from June 3

MU extends registration window for 143 postgraduate courses; document verification and fee rounds to follow
University of Mumbai has extended the admission deadline for postgraduate and select advanced undergraduate courses for the 2026-27 academic session.
Candidates can now complete their applications by May 30 till 11:59 pm through the official admission portals mu.ac.in/admission and muadmission.samarth.edu.in
Earlier, the registration process was scheduled to close on May 26. The university is conducting admissions for 143 postgraduate courses across its network of affiliated colleges and teaching departments.

Mumbai University Admission 2026: How to apply
Students can follow the below steps to apply for Mumbai University for 2026 admissions;
- Register on the portal: Visit the Mumbai University Samarth Portal, create a new account using your name, email ID, and mobile number, then verify it through OTP.
- Complete profile details: Log in and carefully fill in personal information, academic records, graduation marks, board details, and passing year.
- Choose course and college preferences: Select your desired postgraduate programme and preferred affiliated colleges, then generate the pre-admission enrollment number.
- Upload documents and verify details: Submit scanned copies of your photograph, signature, and academic certificates, then review the form for any errors or unclear uploads.
- Pay fee and submit form: Complete the application fee payment through online modes, submit the form, and save the confirmation receipt for future reference.
As of 2026 Mumbai University has more than 900 affiliated colleges and 56 teaching departments, making this one of the largest admission cycles for postgraduate aspirants in the state.
