NEW DELHI: The Mumbai University’s PhD Entrance Test (PET) was scheduled to begin at 10:30 am today, November 17, at centres such as Thakur College, Kandivli, and Surekha Infotech, Dombivli. However, the Mumbai University PET 2024 exam failed to commence even by its designated end time, alleges Yuva Sena. As per the Yuva Sena official statement, aspirants of Mumbai PET were left stressed and anxious as the exam, conducted after a gap of two years, was marred by mismanagement.

Yuva Sena, the youth wing of Shiv Sena (UBT), intervened following complaints from examinees. Aditya Thackeray, Yuva Sena Chief, took notice of the situation, and representatives including senate member Pradeep Sawant and former senate member Rajan Kolmbekar reached out to the Mumbai university’s tegistrar, Prasad Karande. The representatives demanded answers and called for the registrar to personally visit the affected centres.

Mumbai University PET: Exams held in computer classes

Highlighting the chaos, Yuva Sena criticized the agency tasked with conducting the exam, pointing out that it had even conducted exams in computer classes instead of proper colleges.
