NEW DELHI: The Council of Architecture (CoA) will commence the registration process for the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) for BArch admissions from February 3. The NATA exam 2025 for admission in recognised architecture colleges will be conducted from March 1 till June 2025.
Presently, there are about 370 institutions imparting architectural education in India leading to recognized qualifications, the CoA informed. The NATA entrance exam assesses the aptitude of the student for architecture, by testing cognitive skills, visual perception and aesthetic sensitivity tests, logical reasoning and critical thinking ability, “besides the learning that the candidate has acquired over the past years”.
The NATA exam will be conducted on Fridays and Saturdays in two shifts. Morning session from 10 am to 1 pm and afternoon shift from 1.30 pm to 4.30 pm. There will be no morning shift on Fridays.

Those candidates who have already appeared for NATA 2024 and availed one, two, or three attempts and obtained a valid NATA 2024 score, may also apply for NATA 2025 but their NATA 2024 score shall be frozen, the council informed. Their score will be calculated based on the rule given below.

General and OBC-NCL candidates will have to pay an application fee of Rs 1,750, SC, ST, EWS will have to pay Rs 1,250, and transgender will have to deposit Rs 1,000. International students desirous of studying BArch in Indian institutions will have to register and pay a non-refundable fee of Rs 15,000.
