A key feature of this year's prospectus is the continuation of district-specific admissions. Candidates are eligible to apply only for the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV) in their district of residence. However, students attending a school in a neighbouring district may apply if the school is situated within a 10-km radial distance of their residence, subject to verification by Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) officials. Applications made for the wrong district will be rejected, even after provisional selection.
