NBE to announce NEET PG 2024 schedule by Monday: Dharmendra Pradhan

Download nowNEW DELHI: The National Board Of Examinations In Medical Sciences(NBEMS) will announce the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test postgraduate (NEET PG 2024) exam schedule within two days, as per the TOI report. Once the NEET PG 2024 exam schedule is out, candidates will be able to access it through the official website, natboard.edu.in and nbe.edu.in.
Recently, the NBEMS postponed the NEET PG 2024 exam which was scheduled to be held on June 23 as a ‘precautionary measure’ amid allegations of irregularities.
“The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt of India vide its notice dated June 22, 2024, has decided to postpone the NEET-PG 2024, scheduled to be held tomorrow, June 23, 2024, as a precautionary measure,” the NBEMS informed earlier. The decision was taken by the government in the best interests of the students and to uphold the integrity of the examination process.
The NEET PG 2024 exam is conducted for admission to 13,886 Master of Surgery (MS), 26,699 Doctor of Medicine (MD), and 922 Post Graduate (PG) Diploma seats. According to the Indian Medical Council Act, no other entrance exam is recognized for MS, MD, and PG Diploma admissions. Successful candidates can secure admission to over 350 medical colleges, encompassing both government and private institutions.
Recently, the National Testing Agency (NTA) also announced the new dates for cancelled and postponed examinations , including the University Grants Commission - National Eligibility Test (UGC-NET), amidst a controversy over alleged irregularities in their conduct. The UGC-NET, which was cancelled a day after being conducted on June 18, will now be held from August 21 to September 4.
