NCAHP: All institutions should implement the curricula mandatorily, and the board of studies should ensure governance as per norms established by the commission.
The National Commission for Allied and Healthcare Professions (NCAHP) has issued a circular to state allied healthcare councils and departments seeking to implement curricula for 10 programmes by 2026-27. As per NCAHP directives, institutions offering allied and healthcare professional courses should adopt and implement the NCAHP curricula mandatorily.
As per the NCAHP circular , the universities offering courses in allied and healthcare professions should also constitute a board of studies to ensure appropriate academic governance, effective curriculum implementation, and alignment with standards and norms set by NCAHP.
Furthermore, all state allied and healthcare councils should ensure implementation of directives within their jurisdiction. In states and union territories where the state is allied and the healthcare council has not yet been established, the health departments shall take the responsibility to ensure full compliance and also facilitate the necessary academic and institutional arrangements accordingly.
