NCERT ‘Online Essay Writing Competition’ for Classes 9 to 12; Check Here

NEW DELHI: Ministry of Education in collaboration with NCERT and MY Gov India has released an ‘Online Essay Writing Competition’ for classes 9 to 12. The theme of this online essay competition is “Aatmanirbhar Bharat-Swatantra Bharat’. Students can send their entries till August 14, 2020.

Students have to submit the essays in pdf format. Below is the word limit of essay for Class 9 to 12

• For Class 9 & 10- 500 words
• For Class 11 and 12- 800 words
• Students can submit their essays in English or hindi

Initially, SCERTs will select 10 best essays from each state/UT, and later NCERT will choose the best essay at the national level.

The essays will be evaluated based on different criteria that are provided below

• Creativity (40%)
• Central Theme – contextual (20%)
• Coherence and organization in structure (20%)
• Clarity in language expression and Style (20%)

All participants will receive participation certificates and national level finalists will get attractive prizes.
